Sustainable investment promotion through strategic collaboration

The project aims to strengthen business competitiveness in Dalarna by creating a long-term and sustainable investment promotion in the region. In the work with SMEs, activities are directed towards SMEs within the region’s areas of strength to support and develop growing industries. By creating effective models for collaboration with business-promoting actors in the region and at national and international levels, the regional investment-promoting work will be able to develop more opportunities for investments and establishment of foreign companies in the region. To enable long-term and sustainable investment promotion in Dalarna, experiences from the work in previous projects will be utilised and the working methods that have been developed will be further developed. The project will investigate how this should look in practice and develop concrete proposals for organisation, function and work models. The project aims to further highlight sustainability aspects in Dalarna’s investment promotion work. Sustainability aspects should be integrated into other sub-goals and activities. The project’s work is based on three milestones: 1. Create working methods and models for future investment promotion work around Dalarna’s Areas of Advance 2. Create conditions for Dalarna as a pilot county for future investment promotion in Sweden 3. Create working methods and model for how sustainability aspects can be used to create a more competitive regional business community Each sub-goal has a number of activities related to these; During the project period, the project’s efforts shall have contributed to the following quantitative goals: 1.
