The overall goal of the project is to strengthen sustainable growth and increased competitiveness in Kalmar County’s technology SMF. Project goals include increased competence at Kalmar County Technology SMF in Smart Industry, Action Plan 2, three out of four focus areas: — Industry 4.0, – Sustainable production – Testbädd Sverige. The project’s target group is Kalmar läns TeknikSMF with growth potential (industrial companies in wood, metal, glass, food, textile, plastic, IT) The project is based on conducting company visits to technology SMF, and through challenge-driven dialogue with the help of IUC’s Analysis Tool TBN (Growth in Existing Nutrition) identifying development needs as a basis for proposing efforts. The initiatives are aimed directly at companies in the form of digitalisation programmes (kick start and indigo), coaching in sustainable production and offering the companies specialist expertise from academia and research institutes. The project’s expected results and benefits at the end of the project period are that most of the participating companies have begun a growth journey within the framework of Smart Industry, Action Plan 2. The project’s expected long-term effects are that the companies are seen as an attractive employer, attractive partner, and work with investments in new technology, research and sustainability issues.
