Cleaner Growth BSR Cluster Project 1.0 The transnational component is an extension of the Cleaner Growth project – Investment in Cleantech in the North, below specifically Cleaner Growth. The main project aims to create a development of the cleantech area in northern Sweden. The goal is more and growing companies with environmentally friendly solutions in areas such as energy and environmental technology and new environmentally friendly IT solutions. The reason for the transnational component is to strengthen the main project through collaboration with other cleantech clusters and cleantech regions in the Baltic Sea Region. The overall goal of the project is to strengthen SMEs within the cleantech sector’s opportunities for international business in the Baltic Sea region, and to develop international cooperation that strengthens the competitiveness of companies. The project goal is to develop cooperation between cleantech clusters and stakeholders responsible for smart specialisation strategies in the Baltic Sea region by establishing a network of regionally rooted cleantech clusters. The project goal is also to lay the foundation for 1-3 collaborative projects, and to develop a model for how regions and clusters can continue cooperation with stakeholders in the Baltic Sea Region. The project’s activities consist of a mapping of participating regions’ cleanteck clusters, analyses of the cluster’s need for cooperation, regional priorities, etc. The mapping together with planning meetings will then form the basis for a matchmaking event between organisations, cleantech clusters and companies in Sweden, Finland, Lithuania and Estonia.
