Just as well with CELLER-i

The project will build up the basis for decision-making that public actors in Norrbotten and Västerbotten need to take a leading role in accelerating the transition towards environmentally friendly transport and specifically the market development for rechargeable cars. The motive for the project is that there are no standards for declaring winter range for rechargeable cars today, which means that neither car dealers nor even dealers of cars can assess how far a fully charged battery will last in winter. In addition to clarifying the battery range on a cold February morning, other important consumer information facts will be measured and reported: energy consumption during winter driving and preheating/warming, and how good the heat is in the car. An important component of the project will be to bring together car testing companies and car dealers with the aim of both conducting repeatable range tests and producing and analysing measurement data. The strategy for scattering results is based on two proven concepts: a symbolic “electric rally” and a concept for electric car salons in the field. The concept of this type of electric car salon will mimic the structure of the Power Circle project “The Electric Vehicle Offensive”. The electric car rally becomes a simpler version of OECR, “Öresund Electric Car Rally”, but during the severe winter conditions that apply in February. The project expects good media attention through this.
