Malmö Innovation Arena

The overall goal of the project is to create a functioning multi-sectoral innovation arena for physical urban development. In the project, housing construction and physical renewal are focused on the thematic areas of the arena and a clear goal is more housing for a growing population. The most important milestones are the dissemination of innovations for sustainable physical urban development (working methods/ideas/products) that dialogues have been carried out with property owners, which has led to increased interest, development and testing of innovations, that meetings between different actors have led to the development and testing of innovations for sustainable physical urban development, that knowledge about funding and value calculation models for sustainable physical urban development has increased in Malmö and among other relevant actors, that forms of horizontal and vertical learning have been tested on the innovation process. The project works broadly to create conditions and generate interest with the aim of co-creating urban development processes where all stakeholders contribute to the project’s goals.
