The overall goal of the project is to support the transition to a low-carbon economy in all sectors through energy efficiency, smart energy management and the use of renewable energy in public infrastructure, transport and housing. The project goal will contribute to the public sector’s transition to a more low-carbon economy through the development of more efficient methods for planning, implementation and monitoring of low-carbon solutions. The project goal is divided into four sub-goals: — Developing more low-carbon urban planning by making new data available on the site’s actual climate impact and developing methods and tools for visualisation of statistics and data for residents and decision-makers. — Develop the public sector’s toolbox to plan and develop the low-carbon location in broad collaboration with expertise from universities, industry, authorities, associations and the general public. “Introduce and test low-carbon solutions, in existing urban environments, to increase the use and attractiveness of sustainable modes of transport, housing and consumption. — Stimulate advocacy work and knowledge building around sustainable consumption and changing patterns of travel, housing and consumption, with knowledge of the difference between men’s and women’s climate-influenced consumption. The project’s three main activities The decision support platform, the competence platform and Test beds jointly contribute to achieving the project’s goals and contribute to lasting results after the project period. The primary target group is the public sector and secondary target groups are collaborative actors such as universities, authorities, industry, associations and the general public.
