The overall goal of the project is to develop Haraholmen’s logistics centre for the benefit of regional industry. Efforts within the project aim to increase the capacity for sea traffic and increase the possibilities for smooth and cost-effective transitions between the different transport teams by sea-rail. These measures also create opportunities to increase the capacity of existing transport infrastructure via a relocation of freight flows from land to sea by, among other things, being able to develop container transport and establish entirely new sea systems. The project’s efforts include: ¿ny berth via extended quay of approximately 100 m – quay-near logistics areas corresponding to approximately 30,000 sq.m. – new entrance to the logistics centre – intermodal connection quay-rail terminal.
