Cleaner Growth – Investment in Cleantech in the North

The Cleaner Growth project contributes to the following overarching long-term goals: More cleantech companies in the region that are growing and creating jobs. The Government shall be visible as a cleantech region and increase the attractiveness of investment. The public sector achieves positive environmental, cost-effective and quality improvement and development. In an offensive way, the Government will contribute to reducing climate change. The Government strengthens competitiveness through a more gender-equal cleantech sector. The goal of the project is: During the project period in the cleantech area in Västerbotten County and Örnsköldsvik municipalities, more and more companies are developing. ¿Particular 1: Increase the number of commercialised innovations from women and men. Sub-target 2: Increase the number of transactions done by SMEs in Västerbotten County and Örnsköldvik by establishing the region as a common international marketplace for cleantech. The expected result after the project period is that a first step in the development of an industry initiative in the cleantech sector has been taken by having more and growing companies in the field of energy and environmental technology and other industries that are growing thanks to their products, services, systems and processes having an environmental advantage.
