THE PROPOSED PROJECT INVOLVES THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A LABORATORY OF TERMO-FLUIDODINAMICA INTEGRATING METHODS AND TOOLS FOR THE CHARACTERISATION OF INDUSTRIAL FLUIDS. THE STRUCTURE IS DESIGNED TO SUPPORT THE RESEARCH ACTIVITIES AND OF THE ALTO ADIGE COMPANIES OPERATING IN DIFFERENT SECTORS, BUT WHICH HAVE AS A COMMON DENOMINATOR FOR THE TRANSPORT OF LIQUID AND GASEOUS FLUIDS, IN PARTICULAR FOR ENERGY GENERATION AND ENERGY EFFICIENCY. THE STRATEGIC SECTORS IDENTIFIED ARE HYDROPOWER PRODUCTION, BIOMASS GASIFICATION, AND TRANSFORMATION PROCESSES. ON THE ONE HAND, NATURAL PHENOMENA LINKED TO CLIMATE CHANGE CALL FOR THE OPTIMISATION OF HYDROPOWER PLANTS IN THE INTERACTION BETWEEN CIVIL MACHINERY AND CIVIL WORKS ON THE ONE HAND, AND, ON THE OTHER HAND, ELECTRICITY GENERATION FROM BIOFUELS NEED TO BE IMPROVED IN TERMS OF BOTH CONVERSION OF SOLID FUELS INTO GAS (GASIFICATION) AND AS REGARDS THE CONVERSION FROM SOLID FUELS TO GAS.
