The project was divided into 4 tasks with subtasks: Task 1: Reconstruction of the waterfront of Lake Nicholas. Task 2 (Giżycko): it consists of three subtasks: a) reconstruction of the waterfront of Lake Niegocin from the Giżycki Canal to the pier, b) reconstruction of the waterfront of the inland port basin in Giżycko, c) pavement of the waterway on the Giżycki canal through the construction of a footbridge. Task 3: The reconstruction of the Pisa River in Pisz consists of three subtasks: construction of a footbridge under the railway bridge, (b) construction of a port basin, (c) reconstruction of the banks of the Pisa River. Task 4: Reconstruction of the waterfront of Lake Nidzicki. The task of 1 is to rebuild the waterfronts of Lake Mikołajski in conjunction with the accompanying infrastructure (bridges, small architecture). The task of 2 is to pave the route of the Giżycki Canal through the construction of a footbridge over the Giżycko Canal in Giżycko with the reconstruction of sanitary, electrical and telecommunication networks, construction and reconstruction of pedestrian routes and extension of the roadway and modernisation of the harbours of MBSW port, Mazurska Shipping, construction of piers. Task 3 consists of the construction of a pedestrian footbridge located along the left bank of the Pisa river under the existing railway bridge, construction of a port basin with the shape of a rectangle with internal dimensions in the plan of 41.0 m x 65.0 m, modernisation of the waterfront of the Pisa river. Task 4 includes the reconstruction of the waterfront of Lake Nidzicki through the construction of street lighting, the construction of a foot-bike path – width from 1.75 m to 2.0 m, construction of a walking and roadway line – width of the road 2.8 m÷4,0m, and fortification of the shore. The project shall be consistent with the objectives of the prior axis. The 6-culture and heritage of the RPO WiM indicated in the SZOOP, as the result will be a modernised waterway, enabling improved water traffic and navigability, thereby increasing the tourist attractiveness of the region’s natural heritage resources.
