Reconstruction and extension of the building of the Old Częstochowa Town Hall with land development

The project includes the reconstruction and extension of the former Town Hall for the needs of an archaeological and historical museum with a service area (café, public toilets) and modernisation of the Old Market Square. The main attraction will be sculptures balancing the artist of the world famous Jerzy Kędziora. The market space will be equipped with a small architecture for leisure and recreation: water belt, seating and green. The amphitheatre for intimate occasions will be performed by stairs leading to the museum. The aim of the project is to create an attractive place locally and for tourists by making full use of the potential of the Old Town, and in the longer term, gradually improving the situation and independent functioning and further development of this part of the city. In a broader sense, the project involves integrated revitalisation activities for the local community, historical urban fabric, entrepreneurship and culture. It will be complemented by a number of complementary actions supported by the ESF.
