This project involves the construction and reconstruction of the collection, discharge and cleaning systems of rainwater and meltwater and reservoirs in the cities of Chojnice and Człuchów. The aim of the project is to strengthen the resistance of Chojnicko-Człuchowski Municipal Functional Area to floods and droughts. The implementation of the project will contribute to the adaptation of the areas of both basins to climate change causing extreme floods and droughts, by increasing surface retention, equalising flows in water and improving drainage and cleaning systems for rainwater and meltwater. The implementation of the project will also result in a significant reduction of pollution sent to receivers along with rainwater and melt water, thus improving the ecological status of surface and groundwater and numerous protected areas. In addition, improving the quality of life of residents and increasing the attractiveness of tourism, settlement and economic attractiveness of the region.
