Vocational school as a school of good choice – improving the quality of education in upper secondary vocational schools in Słupsk.

The aim of the project is to increase the level of employability of school graduates in Słupsk City. The activities planned to be implemented in the project were planned on the basis of a diagnosis of needs approved by the President of Słupsk City Order No. 381/E/2016 of 2 June 2016. The project is integrated into the project submitted under Measure 4.1 (competition no RPPM.04.01.00-IZ.00-22-001/16). The project is in line with the scope of the strategic project entitled “Creating a network of higher secondary vocational schools that takes into account the needs of subregional and regional labour markets” (according to the Regional Strategic Programme “Active Pomerania” (Management Resolution 547/146/16 of 02.06.16). The project will support 3 schools in Słupska City: Mechanical and Logistic Schools Team, Technical Schools Team and High School Complex No. 1 providing education in key industries, i.e. ICT and electronics; transport, logistics and automotive, as well as the creative sector. The project plans to improve professional competences of teachers (internships with employers, courses, trainings, postgraduate studies) and pupils (internships and apprenticeships with employers, courses, trainings, study visits). Support will be provided, among others. 37 teachers (16K/21M) and 1050 pupils (120 students from ZST; 320 students of ZSP No 1, 610 students from ZSMiL including 213K/837M) as part of traineeships and apprenticeships. The scope of support planned under the project will contribute to the specific objectives, i.e. increasing the chances of pupils to succeed in the labour market; adapting teachers’ professional competences to labour market requirements; increase and structure cooperation between vocational schools and employers and universities; strengthening the attractiveness of the offer of vocational schools.
