The project is implemented as part of the RPO of the Podkarpackie Region for the years 2014-2020. The project involves the execution of project documentation for the section of Padew – Mielec – Dębica (from km 275.300-323.217) together with construction works on the Mielec – Dębica section (with Mielec station). The implementation of the project will contribute to the following objectives: — restoring passenger traffic – reducing driving time – improving the capacity of lines, frequencies, communication and punctuality of connections made – increasing the availability of rail transport – improving the safety of rail traffic, travellers, freight transport and rail crossings – achieving the objectives of regional strategies – reducing the negative environmental impact of transport – improving passenger infrastructure, including passenger information and monitoring. These objectives will be achieved by: — adaptation of the technical infrastructure of the line to the forecast volumes of passenger and freight services, – the achievement of technical parameters required by the applicable regulations: TSIs, other EU regulations, national regulations, applicable standards and internal regulations of PKP PLK S.A. (subject to the possibility of obtaining derogations from requirements, in cases justified by technical and economic conditions), – use of high reliability and durability elements, including vandal-resistant, – equipping of railway crossing systems with modern traffic protection devices, application of solutions, systems and technologies enabling and facilitating the use of infrastructure for persons with reduced mobility goal, – installation of systems for the development of cable systems.
