The aim of this project is to increase the transport accessibility of the voivodship in road traffic and to promote sustainable transport and to address capacity shortages in the operation of the most important network infrastructure through the construction of the city bypass of Tarnobrzeg. The above-mentioned investment will increase the capacity of voivodship roads no. 723 and 871, passing through the city area, as well as the liquidation of the bottleneck caused by the heavy load of the abovementioned roads by both passenger cars and trucks. Thanks to this investment, vehicle traffic, including transit traffic outside the city centre, will be carried out in a fundamental way and the existing road system will be significantly relieved by taking part of the road traffic from voivodship roads No 871 and 723. The above-mentioned objective will be achieved by building a new road connection in the city of Tarnobrzeg in the form of a 9 km long bypass and parameters: class G, traffic category KR4, width of lanes 2x3.5 m including the construction of pavement, cycle path, street lighting, road safety elements, culverts, crossings for animals, roundabouts and crossings, service roads (including reconstruction of existing roads in order to adapt to the parameters of service roads), acoustic screens, light signalling, environmental protection elements, drainage system, construction/reconstruction of the arms network and municipal roads and local roads and local and voivodeship circuits. The above mentioned scope of work will contribute to complementing the regional transport system with a new transport line, which will affect the flow of traffic and improve accessibility to the network of higher-order roads, thereby reducing travel costs in both passenger and freight traffic and achieving the result of saving time on new/refurbished/modernised roads in passenger and freight transport.
