The project is the next stage of investment activities of the Company “Koleje Mazowieckie – KM” sp. z o.o. involving the purchase of electric traction units used in regional and agglomeration traffic. The specific investment goal of the “Purchase of 6 new five-member Electric Traction Teams” project is to purchase 6 vehicles aimed at increasing the efficiency of rolling stock by reducing the level of failure and improving the comfort of travel. All vehicles purchased will fully comply with the Technical Specifications of Interoperability (TSI). In addition, vehicles will be equipped with ERTMS Level 2 (ETCS + GSM-R) modules. The purchased rolling stock will replace the current EN57AL rolling stock, which will be redirected to other lines with a maximum line design speed of 120 km/h. Investments related to the Project include: expenditure related to rolling stock purchase of 6 units of five-member rolling stock, information and promotion costs, impact and repair package, staff training (qualified expenditure) and train driving simulator (ineligible expenditure). The final recipients of the Project are existing and new passengers, using transport services provided by the Company “Koleje Mazowieckie – KM” sp. z o.o.
