Mobile gyroscope as an innovative solution for effective rehabilitation of children with psycho-motor impairment

The aim of the R & D project is to develop an innovative, mobile gyroscope for psycho-motor therapy of disabled children. The gyroscope will be used in the rehabilitation of children from the age of 3 years and to different levels of disability. The equipment will be safe for the rehabilitated child by hiding or building all moving parts. The device will be designed for home use and rehabilitation centers. The operation of the device will not require special qualifications, so that it will be possible to support the equipment by parents and carers of the child. The device will be designed in such a way that it does not take up much space, allowing for use in small spaces (housing rooms) and free movement and transport. Making a gyroscope requires preparation of a technical design, defining the materials needed to make it, and describes the production and assembly process. During the work, a prototype of the device shall be made available for testing to end-users in order to gather their views. Conclusions and feedback from end users must be taken into account at the design stage in order to meet their requirements. R & D will be commissioned to a research unit. The scope of the project shall cover the following tasks: 1. elaboration of technical project of gyroscope adapted for use by children, 2. execution of gyroscope prototype, 3. test prototype with end-user group, 4. preparation of complete technical documentation enabling the production of gyroscopes, testing for CE certification. The development of a mobile gyroscope will enable the Applicant to offer on the market a new psycho-motor therapy service for disabled children and provide consultations in the process of child rehabilitation by parents on a gyroscope at home.
