Subject of the priority undertaking “Fire and flood protection of Lubelskie voivodship through the purchase of rescue and fire-extinguishing vehicles” is the purchase of 43 rescue and fire-extinguishing vehicles together with the equipment necessary for the rescue operation. These will be medium cars and partner-specific heavy cars. The project also provides for the development of a feasibility study, technical specifications of vehicles to be purchased and organisational activities: meetings and communication of partners implementing investments and participating in the project from the substantive and organisational side, as well as promotional and information activities. The entire investment, organisational and promotional activities will serve to address the problems identified in a comprehensive manner and will contribute to the achievement of the main project objective, i.e. “Improving the ecological safety status of the Lubelskie Voivodeship”. The main project indicators are: number of rescue services equipped with equipment, rescue and disaster relief units – 43 units; population benefiting from forest fire protection measures – 2139726 people – residents of the Lubelskie Voivodeship. Thanks to the implementation of the project, first of all: the system of environmental and environmental safety of villages, commune, county, voivodship and country in crisis situations will be improved, increasing the level of public safety, health protection, life and human property; technical and hardware support will be improved which will contribute to the prevention and elimination of disasters and natural disasters, major environmental accidents and other life and health risks; the safety of fire and flood prevention of Lubelskie voivodship will be improved.
