In implementing the project, WWCOiT im. Kopernik in Łódź will undertake supporting and complementary screening Programme for early detection of colorectal cancer aimed at increasing the reporting rate for preventive research.The applicant, after analysing the level of reporting for research in the Łódź Voivodship, decided that the project will cover the population of the districts of sparsely populated areas at least 60 %. Participants will be all persons aged 50-65 years regardless of family history, persons aged 40-49 years who have a first-degree relative (parents, siblings, children) who were diagnosed with colorectal cancer; persons aged 25-49 years old, from families with hereditary colorectal cancer not related to polypathy (HNPCC). In this group of people it is necessary to confirm the diagnosis of belonging to the HNPCC family from a genetic clinic on the basis of fulfilment of the so-called Amsterdam criteria and possible bad.genetics. The activities set up in the project will focus on eliminating barriers to access to preventive research. Reaching people from sparsely populated areas will contribute to the goal of increasing participation in the good preventive inhabitants of the Łódź Voivodeship. The partner will carry out local educational activities (workshops for GP medical staff) in the scope of preventive measures for early detection of colorectal cancer. Participants of the project will have bad colonoscopy in the best oncology centre in the region, which is WWCOiT in Łódź. Participants will be provided with anaesthesia/sedation, as well as access to and from the study (or reimbursement of the cost of the journey), providing information on the preparation of the study, providing a laxative. The actions envisaged for the project shall respect the principle of equal opportunities and non-discrimination, the principle of sustainable development and the principle of universal design.
