Increase the availability and quality of health services in the Kopernik Voivodeship Specialist Hospital in Łódź through the modernisation of the Operational Block, the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care and Laboratory of Blood Bank and Serology Laboratory

The strategic objective of the project is to increase the effectiveness of medical activities in the area of oncological diseases by modernising technical and hardware infrastructure to improve health and reduce the mortality rate of the population due to malignancies. This objective will be achieved by: • modernisation of the Operational Block and the Department of Intensive Medical Care • securing diagnostic needs -by modernising the Laboratory Diagnostics Department, Blood Bank and Laboratory of Serology • equipping these units with medical equipment and equipment ensuring efficiency and innovation of the services provided The main goal of the project will be achieved through the implementation of specific objectives, which provide answers to previously diagnosed needs of the Applicant, employees and final recipients (target groups), i.e. current and potential patients, including their disabled people. These specific objectives include, in particular, objectives such as: • Improving the quality and availability of medical services provided by the Centre • Ensuring the smooth functioning of the health care facility • Increasing the standard of patient care by shortening the waiting time for surgical procedures • Improving the patient’s service process, • Improving the quality of health services • Improving laboratory and diagnostic processes • Introduction of new peri-operative procedures The planned effects of the project are: — purchase of medical equipment and equipment – 1160 units – 7000 persons per year operated on a modernised operating unit – population covered by improved health services – expenditure incurred for the purchase of equipment, equipment and apparatus: 23 331 050,00 PLN – modernised 8 operating rooms – modernised 20 intensive care stations
