The aim of the investment is to create a modern paediatric clinical hospital providing general and specialised treatment in conjunction with the development of the Medical faculty of the University of Zielona Góra. The implementation effect will be to improve the safety and quality of hospital care by improving standards and accessibility of health services, lower migration of patients from Lubuskie voivodship and modernisation of infrastructure. The objectives of the construction of the Mother and Child Health Centre in the Karol Marcinkowski Provincial Clinical Hospital in Zielona Góra Sp. z o.o. are: separation of children’s wards from adult wards, increasing the range of services provided, among others, about anesthesiology and intensive therapy, oncology, burn sites, isolated infectious section. The plan is to create a friendly environment for children by creating an external child-friendly infrastructure. The structure of the Mother and Child Health Centre includes, among others, a pediatric ward (46 beds + 6 isolating-infectious), a department of surgery and urology for children (30 beds), a department of oncology (12 beds), a department of obstetrics (23 beds for mothers and 23 cots for neonatal surgery) with 2 halls of C-section, neonatal and intensive care unit (15 cots, and 12 posts). The new building will have 7 floors above ground and 2 underground. It will be connected to the existing building L. The project will provide parking spaces for patients.
