Obiectivul general al proiectului este de a crește numărul de programe de studii avansate ale STIM, inclusiv industriile medicale și creative. Scopul specific al proiectului este de a crește numărul de programe modernizate de studiu RTU STEM prin îmbunătățirea și dezvoltarea infrastructurii RTU. Strategia de dezvoltare a infrastructurii RTU se concentrează pe dezvoltarea infrastructurii de studii și lucrări științifice concentrate teritorial și pe consolidarea specializării strategice. Cu ajutorul acestui proiect, RTU va continua să investească în domenii în care obiectivele de reformă sau restructurare nu au fost încă atinse, iar acest sprijin va fi o continuare logică a investițiilor care au fost deja realizate sau care au loc și se vor baza pe 2008. Experiența acumulată în cursul anului 2015 și a obținut rezultate și Strategia de dezvoltare a RTU 2015. Proiectul este planificat să fie pus în aplicare timp de 48 de luni, de la 15 septembrie 2017 până la 14 septembrie 2021, iar costurile sale eligibile totale sunt de 11 725 073,00 EUR (inclusiv finanțarea FEDR – 9 966 312,05 EUR și finanțarea de la bugetul de stat – 1 758 760,95 EUR).
