Project PIONIER-LAB – National Platform for Integration of Research Infrastructures with Innovation Ecosystems is located on the Polish Road Map of Research Infrastructure. The proposed project assumes the construction of unique research laboratories based on the national fibre network PIONIER and PLATON service platform. The main objective of the project is to build and make available a platform for entrepreneurs and other entities interested in conducting research and development work on the basis of a new, nationwide research infrastructure. The PIONIER-LAB project assumes close cooperation between science and the economic sector and acceleration of innovation processes thanks to the direct participation of Associated Enterprises in the realisation of the project objectives and the launch of pre-incubators of entrepreneurship focused around the research infrastructure being built. The objectives of the project will be achieved by: (i) Joint activities of the Consortium with Associated Enterprises for the construction and use of the PIONIER-LAB research platform, (ii) making the PIONIER-LAB platform available for scientific, industrial and other stakeholders, (iii) building a space for pre-incubators supporting innovation processes, (iv) the possibility of conducting research experiments in specialised live laboratories and (v) international cooperation through interconnection with global e-infrain. The project’s research platform will be an advanced and modern research environment enabling research and development and innovation, particularly in the increasingly important area of the information society.
