This operation covers the cost of carrying out the polymerase chain reaction test (PCR) for the diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection promoted by the Catalan Health Service. In this case, the PCRs implemented by the centers that are part of the Comprehensive Health System of Public Use of Catalonia (SISCAT) are included, but which are not part of the public sector of the Health Grouping in the Budgets of the Generalitat de Catalunya 2020. SISCAT consists of hospitals, primary care teams, social and health care centres, mental health centres with hospitalisation, urgent health transport resources and other health services._x000D_ The basis for calculating eligible costs is governed by the simplified cost methodology in which a fee of EUR 75 is applied for each PCR test: it integrates sample extraction, laboratory technique and transportation. This methodology makes it possible to facilitate compensation between the centres and the final providers of one or more of the services covered by the tariff. This operation specifically includes the realisation of 660,000 PCRs in 70 health or hospital centres integrated in SISCAT, during the months of January to June 2021 and 2022.
