The aim of the project is to increase the level of security of adopted IT and telecommunications solutions in the State Sanitary Inspectorate in the field of data transmission and protection of transmitted and processed data, including personal data. The entire solution planned in the project will reduce the risks in the use of the network, allow to implement modern ICT security mechanisms and provide access to a number of public services provided via the government teletransmission network GOVNET. The result of the development of the GOVNET network will be the creation of new GOVNET network nodes — backbone (aggregation) and district networks, allowing in the future to connect government and local government administration using a single, and most importantly, secure teletransmission network based on MPLS technology. As part of the expansion, each newly created GOVNET node will be equipped with high-end network devices (routers), while the existing 8 nodes will be equipped with telecommunications gyms along with batteries. All nodes will be connected by high bandwidth access links (including increasing the bandwidth of existing nodes). In order to supervise the network, a dedicated network management and monitoring system and a network passporting system will be implemented. Due to the critical nature of the network and its importance for security, both in terms of infrastructure and the services it provides, the project will prepare Network Continuity Plans. After the implementation of the project, other government, non-governmental and local government institutions will be able to connect to the extensive GOVNET network. The network provides, among others, State Register systems, which include the following registers: PESEL, RDO, RSC, RDK, SOP and CRS.
