Construction of the flood protection system of Felső-Tisza, Tisza-Túr reservoir

The construction of the Tisza-Túr reservoir affects an area of ~17 km² on the NW side of main road 491, where, assuming a storage level of 118,0 mBf, around 45 million m³ of water can be stored in the area. It is predominantly the most significant in one of the most critical sections of the Upper Tisza (the narrowing between Tisabeck-Tiszaújlak, which is similar to the Tivadari constriction). It is also justified by the fact that the flooding of the river Túr, built by regulation of the Tisza, can have such a bulging effect, resulting in 3-4 m flooding in the settlements of Tiszacsécse, Tiszakoród and Milota, which can lead to a direct risk of life. Reservoir fillings are built with a 3.0 m wide crown covering to facilitate operation, maintenance and protection tasks. In parallel with the charging, new interconnecting channels are installed on certain sections, as well as protective forests that reduce waves. The reservoir’s water infiltration works in rkm Tisza 739.9, the left bank of Tisza in the vicinity of 155+ 400 tkm wind-tkm between the settlements of Milota and Tiszabecs. Open-coloured water transfer holes are installed in the water inlet artifact with 80 m arrow edge. The shut-off mechanism is a steel-structured segment board with double-sided motion. The reservoir is evacuated using the existing inland waterway network and through a water draining artifact designed for a better coastal recharging of the Túr. The reservoir is replenished by means of a new water inlet channel connecting the Tisza and the reservoir through a monolithic reinforced concrete structure. In the reinforced concrete structure, open-coloured water transfer openings are installed with a threshold level close to the water intake for the purpose of flooding. The reservoir can be drained in several directions, on the one hand through the inland water system of the reservoir (Palád-Csécsei main canal) and, on the other hand, directly into the Túr River by constructing a new facility. Direct evacuation is provided by a locked artifact designed for a better shore-side charge of the Túr, which is built to protect and save the existing embankment. The reservoir is located in inland water system No 41 and the inland water protection facilities concerned are set at 07.09. They belong to the T-Sa-Turkish inland water protection section. The project involves the reconstruction of the existing sewerage system (~48 km VIZIG+associated treatment, ~39 km of operational sewerage). As a result of the renovation works, the conditions for the draining of water entering the reservoir are improved. The site of the reservoir is affected by a gas distribution coolant with medium to high pressure, as well as an electrical network, which must be replaced during the project. During the project development phase, detailed planning will be carried out to examine whether and to what extent it is necessary to install a protective forest. In order to further develop the existing water management system, the following work is planned: Reconstruction of Palad-Csécsei main canal (bed reconstruction, bottom threshold construction, construction of water standard, renovation and reconstruction of existing passages), reconstruction of Palad stream (construction of lock, bottom threshold construction), establishment of a connection between Palad-Csécsei main canal and Lower-Öreg-Túr (construction of a connecting canal using existing association and municipal channels, construction of water steering structures, water retention structures to ensure water transfer). Ensuring the communication of flood and inland water protection centres, inspectorates and hydrographic measuring stations in the area is an important task. Continuous measurement data collection for flood forecasting and operational management require uninterrupted data and sound transmission. To ensure this, a relay tower of 100 to 110 metres high must be installed in the area. The property protection of the Tisza-Túr reservoir facilities (water inlet, draining large structures) can be ensured by the construction of a technical system (camera). Within the framework of the development of hydrographic monitoring, a hydrographic station will be established on the river Túr at Tiszakoród, on the main channel Palád-Csécse at Tiszakoród, a hydrometeorological telemetry station at the planned dam in Tiszakoród, the construction of water level measurement and automation of the Tisza-Túr flooding reservoir and water drainage artefact and IT development related to hydrographic monitoring. The planned facilities require a local protection centre (Tisabeck) and other facilities. The project foresees the construction of a new dam house (Ti Period) and a defensive warehouse. The development also increases maintenance tasks, which requires a modern machine park (e.g. self-propelled copper dome, mobile pump). The purchase of these equipment (specialisation of machinery, quantity, price, etc.) may be reviewed during...
