Increase the use of ICT in direct communication between the Ministry of Health (MS) and the 18 most important adult and paediatric hospitals in Romania (emergency hospitals and regional centers) by implementing a modern IT system for monitoring, documentation, exchange of medical data in emergency situations, consulting and/or granting the second remote opinion and support of processes related to anaesthesia and intensive care activities (ICA), an information system that will function as support for decision-making in emergency situations in a central unit within the Ministry of Health. The overall objective of the COP is to contribute to the overall objective of the Partnership Agreement by supporting RDI and ICT for competitiveness and development. In these circumstances, this project contributes to the achievement of the objectives of the Competitiveness Operational Programme (OPC) 2014-2020 by implementing the National Digital Agenda Strategy for Romania 2014-2020, as well as of the 2014-2020 Partnership Agreement on the thematic area “Information and Communication Technology, Space and Security”, ICT economic sector, thematic objective 2 – to increase the use, quality and access to information and communication technology. Moreover, through the objectives assumed, through the activities that will be carried out and through the results obtained, as detailed in MySMIS and the documents uploaded, the project will contribute to the achievement of the specific objective of this call "increasing the use of tele – Intensive Care in direct communication between the Ministry of Health and the most important adult and pediatric hospitals in Romania (emergency hospitals and regional centers) by implementing a modern IT system for monitoring and documentation in the sections of ATI and the operating rooms served by the ITA departments, the exchange of medical data in emergency situations, consultation and/or granting of the second remote opinion and support of the emergency processes related to the activities of the ITA. The ICT product and the technologies used in the implementation of this information system proposed in this project are addressed to the fields of smart specialisation identified within the National Strategy for Research, Development and Innovation 2014-2020, respectively the field of information and communication technology – through the development of software and technologies for the future Internet.
