Updating and developing the national IT Infrastructure Protection System&C with critical values for national security against threats from cyberspace

Updating the existing IT system and including in this system new IT &C infrastructures with critical national security (IVC) values in order to increase cyber-attack identification capabilities as well as to increase the level of national cybersecurity is the overall objective of the project, underpinned by a common EU approach to cybersecurity. Thus, the project aims to modernise the security systems already implemented within public authorities/institutions (IVCs and National Cyberint Centre), as well as the interoperability of security systems to be implemented and integrated, with the already existing IT system, in terms of corroborating information, collaboration, analysis and response through the IT mechanism for rapid alerting and dissemination of information in real time. Also, the implementation of the project within the Special Telecommunications Service (as partner) will increase the security of information and communication services at national level, as well as increase the availability and security of services offered to public interest institutions and entities. At the same time, the objective of ensuring the continuity of the services provided by the Romanian State for its own or European Union citizens will be achieved.
