The main objectives of this project are: Rehabilitation/ modernization of 101,98 kilometres of national roads, rehabilitation of 17 bridges, construction of seven new bridges (total bridges 24 pieces) and arrangement of 33 intersections. - reducing travel time between Pitești and Brașov 9,1 minutes; - reduction in operating costs of vehicles; - increase traffic safety: estimated 10% reduction in the number of accidents due to road modernization and implementation of measures to enhance safety. After modernisation of DN73 is finalised, the project as an overall will accomplish the general objectives of the program - Priority Axis 2: Development of a multimodal, quality, sustainable and efficient transport system. Modernisation of DN 73 will provide a quick and easy road access for all road users across the area and for the inhabitants of the municipalities along the national road.
