Water reservoir Racibórz Dolny on the river Oder in the Silesian voivodship (polder)

The designed water reservoir Racibórz Dolny is located in the valley of the Odra River north of the Crossanowice – Buków road bridge, within a kilometre from 33.580 to km 46.300 of that river above Raciborz (and therefore will be located directly below the Buków polder). The area of the planned reservoir is located within the limits of the Silesian Voivodeship in the district of Raciborskie – in the communes of Krzyżanowice, Racibórz, Kornowac and the Voivodeship – Lubomia. Polder Racibórz will only be operated as a dry flood tank. The change in the hydrological regime of the Oder, caused by water management in the tank, will apply only to flooding periods. The tank will not affect low and medium flow. In the flow range to Q=470 m³/s (shorewater, p=50 %), at least one bolt, in the threshold bay, will be raised to allow the free flow of the Oder into the relief channel.
