1. The Total Groups, through its subsidiary Saft, and PSA with Opel, have announced their desire to unite their know-how to develop in Europe battery production at the best technological level for electric vehicles and have created for this purpose a joint company called ACC. 2. In addition to the Technological Centre created in Bordeaux, this stage includes the construction of a Testing Line in Nersac. It will represent an investment of EUR 200 million and will enable the development, qualification and industrialisation of new high-performance lithium-ion battery technologies. 3. The Total and PSA Groups welcome the support of the Nouvelle Aquitaine region and the French and European authorities.
