CareWare Nordic

Municipalities must be able to offer better daily help in healthcare and care to their citizens. The CareWare Nordic project wants to develop the possibilities with welfare technology solutions. Welfare technology, such as mobile alarms with GPS function, is digital technology that can help the elderly, or people with a disability in their everyday lives. The CareWare Nordic project wants to start from good results in Aarhus, Denmark and within three years create a common platform in the Sound, Kattegat, Skagerrak, where welfare technology solutions can be presented to public purchasers, institutions and companies. Companies that offer welfare technology services or products must be given the opportunity to scale up their operations and have the opportunity for development together with a knowledge institution. In the platform, the project also wants to develop common methods for assessing and evaluating welfare technology services and products and for healthcare professionals to understand the value and be motivated to use them. It is also hoped that the platform will later provide a common strength to enter international markets such as the EU, China, Korea and the United States.
