The project aims to ensure systematic monitoring, assessment and forecasting of changes in the state and anthropogenic effects of the natural environment and its elements and to identify possible changes in the radiation status in a timely manner. The aim is to improve the national inventory of emissions into the ambient air, to carry out studies to assess the extent of long-range transmission of air pollutants from other countries to the territory of Lithuania, the impact on the overall level of pollution in the Lithuanian air basin, the identification of the sources of pollution caused by relatively natural areas with particularly low influence from local polluters, the state of air and other environmental components. Update laboratory equipment necessary for measurements (studies) in ambient air and their quality assurance and control, thus enabling high-quality, EU-compliant and internationally comparable environmental quality data and providing reliable information to public administrations, the public and international organisations.
