Low-carbon solutions for technology value chains and digital governance to promote export and internationalisation capabilities — DCFB

The adoption and deployment of new resource-efficient, digital and low-carbon approaches by enterprises and the cooperation between them offer significant opportunities to make businesses more efficient. The export of technology and related services provides significant business growth opportunities for companies. Making better use of the potential of technology exports would significantly strengthen the region’s vitality and be channelled through business growth and new jobs. In order to succeed in their internationalisation goals, SMEs need to develop and intensify their activities. The aim of the project is to promote the uptake of low-carbon resource-efficient and digital solutions in manufacturing industries and to promote and intensify cooperation between the companies involved in the project, and to develop the introduction of new network-based operating models and information systems in the internationalisation of companies. The project also aims to improve cooperation with companies in education and research, using international networks. The project enables companies to develop, test and utilise new resource-efficient, low-carbon operating models to promote competitiveness and internationalisation. The focus of the project is on the development of low-carbon industrial activities by exploiting the deeper cooperation and digital opportunities of productive SMEs and IT start-ups. The project will be implemented in cooperation with Mikkeli’s development company Miksei Oy, Southeast Finland University of Applied Sciences and Navitas Kehitys Oy and technology companies. In addition, the cooperation in the project has been agreed with Business Finland. The project summarises Business Finland’s operations in the province and links T&K provincial operators and companies to Business Finland’s operations, especially with Export Finland and related growth programmes.
