Good — Wellbeing Technology Innovation Network — Promoting Satakuntalainen’s well-being with personalised service-based customer technology project creates a network of innovation activities in welfare technology in Satakunta, as well as new ways of working together and linking the partners of the network to other services and stakeholders. The project will bring together actors in welfare technology in the region and clarify the role, division of labour and synergies between the parties. The objective of the network is to increase the attractiveness of the Satakunta region from the perspective of companies active in the sector and those intending to do so, which also attracts companies to establish themselves in the area. The project will also increase the business opportunities of local companies and the development of new innovations, as well as increase know-how and expertise in well-being technologies in the public, private and third sectors. The project is based on an innovation hub formed by Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK), the business company Prizztech Oy, companies in the region (SOTE and technology companies), as well as the public sector, municipalities and the third sector in cooperation with the public sector, municipalities and the third sector. The innovation network will be expanded through systematic identification work as part of the project and will also be updated at the end of the project. By networking the strengths of different actors, operators can channel their expertise according to the real customer needs, diversify their business and services, and acquire and create excellence to support their development activities. The network’s activities are piloted through case studies of the project. In each case, a technology/service solution is sought for genuine customer needs or research and untapped utilisation possibilities of the technology are explored. The case will always involve both the user party (customer needs) and the technology experts (technology solution). The project will create operating methods for the development and implementation of individual-oriented technology solutions that promote well-being. The ultimate goal is to promote human well-being. The key means are participatory development and partnership formation, service design (service-based wellbeing technology solutions), a pilot culture in the field, and the creation of a metering system for assessing the usability and impact of technology applications and supporting decision-making. The technology solutions developed in the project will be used in a demonstration space for wellbeing technology related to the activities of the network, which will be established as the project progresses at Satakunta University of Applied Sciences. SAMK acts as the project coordinator and is also responsible for producing research content, publishing activities and linking the innovation hub to teaching (e.g. Wellbeing Technology YAMK Training). In addition, SAMK participates in technology development, testing and service design. SAMK also brings good practices identified in other parts of Europe through its international partners as part of the project. Prizztech Oy acts as part of the HYVÄKSI project based on improving the operating conditions of local companies and social and health care operators, increasing the business opportunities and know-how of the companies in the region, and supporting the productisation and commercialisation of new services. Prizztech is responsible for implementing testing and R & D based on the living lab model, supports companies’ t&k activities, and promotes cooperation between SOTE operators, wellbeing technology companies and users. In the project, SAMK and Prizztech act as “interpreters” between different industries and generate and transfer new information to support both technology and SOTE operators. With the developed operating methods and infrastructure, the project allows the development to continue even after the project has been completed.
