D3 Čadca, Bukov – Svrčinovec

1. The aim of the project is to complete the basic motorway corridor D3, thus improving conditions for international and national traffic and increasing fluidity, speed and road safety. After the completion of the construction of the section D3 of 5.67 km in question, conditions will be created for substantial traffic relief on road I/11 (transport diversion outside the city of Čadca).2. The activities of the project focus on the construction of motorways and expressways, including feeders (TEN-T CORE), with the aim of removing key bottlenecks on the TEN-T road infrastructure through the construction of new sections of motorways and expressways. 3. The place of implementation of the project is Žilinský kraj, okres Čadca. The D3 motorway is part of the TEN-T CORE network, performing a well-known national and international transport function, particularly in the north-south direction.4. Measurable indicators of the project in question sú:Celková length of newly built roads on the TEN-T network (CORE) – 5.67 km.Saving time in road transport on motorways and expressways (2023) – EUR 11 638 916.Saving NO2 emissions (impact of motorway construction, 2023) – 17 tonnes.Emission saving of PM10 (impact of motorway construction, 2023) – 3.8 tonnes.
