The general objective of the Project, the extension and rehabilitation of the water and wastewater infrastructure in Hunedoara County" is to improve the infrastructure in the water and wastewater sector in the agglomerations Deva, Hunedoara, Brad, Calan, Hateg and Simeria. The project aims to make investments in the extension/rehabilitation of drinking water infrastructure and in waste water collection and treatment infrastructure, as follows: Water supply: construction/rehabilitation of the water treatment plant, water storage tanks, chloration stations and pumping stations, as well as construction/rehabilitation of main pipes and distribution of drinking water with all constructions of valve-camines and branchings; Wastewater: construction/rehabilitation of wastewater treatment plant and construction/rehabilitation of domestic sewage networks with construction accessories – wastewater pumping stations, visiting rooms and connections. Technical description of investments in water and wastewater infrastructure: Rehabilitation of Water Treatment Plant Potabila Orlea and drinking water supply for Hațeg, Călan, Simeria, Deva and 14 other rural localities served by the aduction; — Rehabilitation of storage tanks, extension/rehabilitation of inputs and distribution networks, as well as extension/rehabilitation of waste water collection system and reconstruction of waste water treatment plants in agglomerations with more than 10,000 p.e. – Deva si Hunedoara; — Construction of storage tanks, extension/rehabilitation of inputs and distribution networks, as well as extension/rehabilitation of the waste water collection system and construction of waste water treatment plant in Calan agglomeration with population equivalent between 2,000-10,000 p.e.; — Rehabilitation of the source and treatment plant of Brad Potable Water, rehabilitation of inputs, extension/rehabilitation of distribution networks, as well as extension/rehabilitation of the waste water collection system in Brad agglomeration with equivalent population between 2,000-10.000 p.e.; — Rehabilitation of storage tanks, extension/rehabilitation of inputs and distribution networks, as well as extension/rehabilitation of waste water collection system and reconstruction of waste water treatment plants in agglomerations with population equivalent between 2,000-10.000 p.e.- Hateg and Simeria; Project Components: — 10 Work contracts for the extension and rehabilitation of the infrastructure for treatment, storage and distribution of drinking water and of the waste water collection and treatment infrastructure in the agglomerations of the Project; 3 Service contracts: Technical Assistance for Project Management and Works Supervision, as well as services for Independent Project Audit.
