Development of access routes for terminals and industrial zones in Ventspils Freeport territory

The aim of the project is to ensure the sustainable development of the access road infrastructure of Ventspils Freeport by improving problematic road access road sections to the port’s public-community infrastructure, terminals and industrial zones, as well as by connecting to missing access road sections.To improve the construction of new access road sections from the freeport authority to improve the public-share infrastructure of the port, the main activities of the project are the construction of access roads to the port – full construction of new access road sections, the construction of the existing water supply infrastructure, or the extension of the infrastructure related to the infrastructure of the port, the main activities of the project are the construction of access roads to the port – full construction of new access road sections, the construction of the existing water supply infrastructure, or the extension of the infrastructure related to the infrastructure of the port, the construction of road access roads, the full construction of new access road sections, and the extension of the infrastructure infrastructure related to the infrastructure of the port, the construction of the road access roads, the full construction of the roadway sections, and the extension of the construction of the infrastructure related to the construction of the paddock, the construction of the road access roads, the full construction of the roadway sections, and the extension of the infrastructure infrastructure related to the infrastructure of the port. Within the project it is planned to make the necessary improvements for 19 sections of access roads (streets) of 12.999 km.The most significant expected results and economic benefits of the project are:•renewed or newly built 19 sections of the Freeport of Ventspils access roads (street) of 12.999 km.•improved the transport capacity of the transport network and the accessibility and quality of the transport infrastructure in the city.•Ensure the transit freight transport as fast as possible to port freight handling points;•improve the transport capacity of the urban network and reduce the availability and quality of the transport infrastructure in the city.•Ensures the transit freight transport as fast as possible at port freight handling points;•Improves the number of traffic in the city, as well as reduces the risk of the city’s infrastructure and the quality of the accidents. The total planned cost of the project is EUR 19651384,61, including the planned co-financing of the EU Cohesion Fund of 85 % is EUR 16703676.92.
