The aim of the project is, on the basis of the needs of merchants, to arrange the public infrastructure necessary for commercial activities to increase the amount of private investments and the development of entrepreneurship in the Rezekne city, Rezekne and Vilani counties, regenerating degraded areas. The main activities of the project are the reconstruction of Rezekne city Moscow, Warehouses and Varoņu Street in a total length of 3,1 km, as well as the construction of a connecting section of Komunāls Street of 0,6 km, the reconstruction of the central and Tevenanu street of Vilani town in a total of 1.643 km; Rebuilding of roads of Rezekne municipality in Vēremu, Griškāns, Sakstagala, Stoļerova, Lūznavas, Malta, Ozolaine, Feimanis, Ilzeskalna and Mākoņkalns parishes in total length of 19,181 km; Reconstruction and construction of water and sewerage networks in separate street sections of Rezekne and Vilani towns; Recultivation of land plots in total area of 3.9 ha for investment offer in Rezekne city.The duration of the project is 40 months (September 2017-2020). The total eligible costs of the project are EUR 11795780,07, of which European Regional Development Fund co-financing EUR 10026413,06, state budget grant EUR 492625,54 and municipal funding EUR 1276741,47. Total ineligible costs of the project – EUR 2454121,67. Project planned output indicators are 213 new jobs, additionally attracted non-financial investments in the amount of EUR 10943483.53 and reduction of degraded areas by 39.365 ha; Of which: Rezekne city’s planned output indicators are 77 new jobs, additionally attracted non-financial investments in the amount of EUR 4556896,53 and reduction of degraded areas by 23.26 ha; The planned outcome indicators of Vilani county are 27 new jobs, attracted non-financial investments in the amount of EUR 1617046,33 and reduction of degraded territories 8,1 ha; Rezekne Municipality’s planned result indicators are – 109 new jobs, additional attracted non-financial investments in the amount of EUR 4769540,67 and a reduction in the area of degraded territories by 8.33 ha.
