The project includes work belonging to Phase II of the improvement/upgrading of the provincial road Gythio-Areopolis-Gerimena, while it is part of the Priority Axis 4 and thematic Objective 7 of the Operational Program of Peloponnese 2014-2020. It is about 4.5 km of road network, while the aim of this project is to improve/upgrade dangerous points of the Regional Road Network of the Regional Unit of Laconia. In particular, the project includes interventions concerning the improvement and modernisation of parts of the provincial road Gytheio-Areopolis-Gerimena, such as: The improvement of the geometric and/or technical characteristics of road sections, the construction of nodes, as well as marking and safety projects. Finally, the project aims at the functional upgrading and modernisation of the Lakonia road network, a region with particular developmental characteristics in the areas of tourism and the rural economy.
