The general objective of the project is to promote sustainable urban mobility by creating an efficient, environmentally friendly and modern public transport system in the municipalities of Pitesti County (PP 2) and Târgu Mureş Municipality (PP 1), leading to a reduction of CO2 and pollutant emissions discharged into the atmosphere, reducing the number of cars in traffic, increasing the number of people using public transport with an impact on the fluidisation of road traffic, This objective involves reducing carbon emissions and increasing the attractiveness of public transport by ensuring superior conditions (modern low floor vehicles, 100 % electric zero emissions, faster, less noisy, with ITS facilities – intelligent technical systems), i.e. by offering transport alternatives, discouraging travel by private car and increasing the number of people who will use public transport.
