Creation of pedestrian routes and improvement of public transport of passengers in the central part of Oradea

The general objective of the project is defined in order to comply with the investment priorities established by the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) approved by Decision No 700/10.08.2017 of the City Council of Oradea. Through SUMP the municipality aims to achieve an efficient, integrated, sustainable and safe transport system, which will promote economic, social and territorial development and ensure a good quality of life in the area of Oradea. The project aims to achieve a direct positive impact on the reduction of CO2-equivalent emissions generated by motorised road transport in Oradea by creating pedestrian routes, cycling routes and improving public passenger transport in the central area of Oradea, in order to reduce the number of journeys by private transport (cars), which directly leads to the achievement of the specific objective of reducing carbon emissions in the municipalities of county residence through investments based on sustainable urban mobility plans 4.1 of the Investment Priority 4e of ROP 2014-2020.
