The establishment of the general objective of the project “Works on rehabilitation, modernisation and endowment of the Secondary School no.13” was done in accordance with the objectives of the ROP 2014-2020, of the Priority Axis10 improving the educational infrastructure, of the investment project 10.1 Investments in education and training, for acquiring skills and lifelong learning through the development of education and training infrastructures. The project subscribes to the general objective of ROP 2014-2020 to increase economic competitiveness and improve the living conditions of local and regional communities by supporting the development of the business environment, infrastructure conditions and services, ensuring a sustainable development of the regions, capable of managing resources efficiently, capitalising on their potential for innovation and assimilation of technological progress. Rehabilitation, modernisation and endowment works at the Secondary School no.13 aim to ensure an adequate, accessible and quality educational offer for all children and will take into account, as a priority, children and young people from families with low socio-economic level, Roma or other disadvantaged groups who are at increased risk of dropping out of school and early school leaving. The general objective of the project is to increase the level of participation in early education and compulsory learning, especially for children at increased risk of early leaving the system. In order to create students and teachers an educational environment that will provide them with minimum comfort, safety and enable them to conduct an effective educational-educational process, it is necessary to perform a number of categories of works that will make the school an attractive environment for all students and will encourage the desire for performance, thus strengthening the role of the school in the educational path of each student: — improvement of hygiene and indoor thermal comfort conditions; — reducing heat loss and energy consumption; — reducing maintenance costs for heating and hot water consumption; — reducing pollutant emissions from energy production, transport and consumption leading to the efficient use of energy resources, in line with the Europe 2020 strategy.
