Improving the capacity of intervention at medical emergency – South-East Region

The general objective of the project is “Improving the health level of the population in the South-East Region by increasing the quality of pre-hospital health services”. The project “Improving the Emergency Response Capacity – South-East Region” aims to increase the quality of pre-hospital medical services by improving the level of equipment for transport and other specific equipment for providing emergency medical assistance and qualified first aid and by operationalising new emergency response crews, equipping them with some of the new equipment purchased. It will also ensure the efficiency of the interventions at search-rescue missions in the mountain area by equipping with equipment for the transport of patients from the mountain area. The purchased equipment will ensure the improvement of the access of the population in the South-East Region to emergency medical services in the pre-hospital phase by improving the endowment of the services responsible for providing emergency medical care and qualified first aid, as well as search and rescue in the mountain area, by reducing the number of days of unavailability of ambulances, increasing the number of kilometres travelled and reducing the response time to medical emergencies.
