Construction of the Dubrovnik-Neretva region of Dubrovnik-Neretva County in the area of Trinovica, the Municipality of Dubrovnik Primorje, and 6 transhipment stations (PS; Dubrovnik, Metkovic, Jjina, sitnica, Mljet and Lastovo), is planned to form an integral system of waste management in the DNS area, aiming to use organised, economically focused and integrated municipal waste management in 5 cities and 17 DNAs. The implementation of the project ensures/contributes to:• fulfilling the obligations of the Republic of Croatia towards the EU in the field of waste management• protecting human health and improving the quality of life of the population;• fulfilment of the objectives of the Croatian Waste Management Strategy;• Implementation of the objectives of the Croatian Waste Management Strategy for 2017-2022.
