The Opolskie Voivodeship on the basis of the agreement no. R.U.DOA-IV.273.73.2015 concluded on 29 October 2015 with NEWAG S.A. with its registered office in Nowy Sącz for the manufacture and delivery of 5 units of new three-member electric traction units which constitute the scope of the guaranteed contract and the scope of the contract covered by the option for a further 2 pieces, submitted to the Contractor on 10 October 2017. IT’S AN EZT. The subject of the project Mon. “The second stage of Opole mobile! — improving the collective transport of the region and the Opole agglomeration" is the purchase of electric traction units (EZT), the aim of increasing the quantity and quality of regional passenger services. Currently, in the Opolskie voivodship a significant part of the connections is carried out by outdated rolling stock, which is not adapted for the transport of passengers with reduced mobility. The reception of two EZTs is scheduled for September 2018.
